Ad copy for small online shops: price, offer and call to action

How to write the words in a short video ad: clear names, honest offers, prices that build trust and calls to action that match where you sell.

In a 12-second ad, every word competes for attention. Clear beats clever.

Name and description

Use the name customers would search for (“Vitamin C Serum”, not just your brand name), then one short line with the most useful detail: size, shade, material or compatibility.

Show the price

Hiding the price creates curiosity but also wastes the time of people who will never buy. Showing it builds trust, and the people who message you are ready to order. If you have a genuine discount, show the old price struck through and the new price big — the Flash Sale and Slam Hook templates do this for you.

Benefits in three short lines

Pick the three things customers love most. Keep each under about 20 characters so they stay big on screen. Prefer outcomes (“Lasts all day”) to specifications, and only state what you can back up.

A call to action that matches your channel

  • Website or online store: “Shop now”, “Order now”.
  • Instagram shop with DMs: “DM to order”, “Link in bio”.
  • WhatsApp sellers: “Order on WhatsApp” plus your number or handle.
  • New launch: “Discover now”, “Get yours”.

Captions and hashtags

After you export, the editor writes a caption with your product name, benefits, price, call to action and a short set of relevant hashtags. Edit it to sound like you, and keep hashtags specific rather than using dozens of generic ones.

Rules that keep your account safe

  • No fake countdown timers or “only 2 left” unless it is true.
  • No invented reviews, ratings or celebrity endorsements.
  • Use only photos you own or have permission to use.
